She graduated from Hobart and William Smith College with a degree in Biopsychology and pursued post-graduate studies in Veterinary Medicine, in which she had a successful career before turning to real estate on a part-time basis in 1983, and full-time in 1993.
Animals are still a passion for Sandy, and she has maintained an interest in Animal Rescue. She is also a keen sailor, and served as Commodore of the Southampton Yacht Club. Sandy lives in Southampton with her husband of 35 years. Her son, Gregg, is a graduate of The University of New Hampshire and lives in Newport, Rhode Island.
