A New York City native, Sara lived in Manhattan most of her life before moving to Southampton with her family in 2002. She has established strong roots in her community and has enjoyed watching her children thrive and grow in great measure due to the award-winning schools on the east end. She is a member of the Board and volunteer at the Sobornost Fair Trade Organization and a supporter of the Southampton  Animal Shelter as well as Our Lady Of The Hamptons Regional Catholic School.
