After building spec homes out East for many years and capitalizing on the potential of the booming Hamptons marketplace, Budd Gundersen decided to turn his talents to residential rentals/sales and share his expertise with others. Today Budd is respected not only for his exceptional market knowledge and understanding of the home building, buying and selling processes, but for his effectiveness in steering clients and customers down the best path toward achieving their unique goals.
A Brooklyn boy who earned his Bachelors degree from St. Francis College, Budd went on to receive advanced degrees in Clinical Psychology from Washington State University and University of Texas. In between, he dedicated his service in the U.S. Army for two years. Professionally, Budd worked as a hospital administrator for six years, then as a prominent art dealer in Manhattan thanks to his own passion for collecting. Business wise and interpersonally savvy, he next redirected his skills as owner of a successful deli in his hometown Bay Ridge, Brooklyn for 23 years.
All the while, Budd maintained his love affair with the Hamptons. He built his first home there in 1985 and has been fascinated with the area since. In 2001, he relocated out East full time and entered real estate. Budd's professionalism, sense of humor, organizational skills and service expertise have earned him a fine reputation for results not just with the waterfront listings in which he specializes, but with properties of every kind. Outside of work, he sits on the Board of Independent Group Home Living, an organization which benefits the intellectually challenged. Budd handled sale of the school's previous facility as well, which sold for nearly $4 million.
