Having joined The Corcoran Group in May of 2016 with a broad knowledge of Shelter Island and its people. Ed came to Shelter Island with his family in 1960, over the decades has been deeply committed to the community. He held a seat on the Board of Directors for the Shelter Island Chapter of the American Red Cross, is a 20 year veteran of the Shelter Island Fire Department, a past Trustee of the Shelter Island Country Club, a current Board Member on the Joseph M. Theinert Foundation; plus he served as Councilman on the Shelter Island Town Board from January 2001 through December 2015. Initiated and spearheaded multiple fund drives for different situations and needs within the community.
Trustworthy is how Ed is viewed by everyone, thanks to his devotion to the community and its people. Complimenting his exemplary community service, he was self employed for 25 years before he made his move into the Real Estate business four years ago where he worked part time. He is coming to the Corcoran Group eager for more of a full time role in the business. He believes in being straight up with his clients and doing the right thing by them.
Ed has bought and sold numerous properties and currently owns both a home on Shelter Island and a condo in Florida. With his experience and background on Shelter Island he has a strong feel for the pulse of the community, is intuitive and resourceful which is highly beneficial to his clients.
