Although she didn't start her formal real estate career until 2003 with Allan Schneider Associates, now The Corcoran Group, Jaime has always possessed a keen knowledge of buying and selling real estate in the Hamptons. Being raised in an East Hampton home where both parents were top-producing brokers, arriving at The Corcoran Group was no accident. “It’s as though I had a master’s degree in Hamptons real estate by the time I was 18-years-old,” laughs Castantine, as she recalls a typical conversation at her family dinner table. After earning degrees in Business Management and Accounting at a small woman’s college in Boston, Jaime joined the management team at PAR East Mortgage in East Hampton, where she was afforded a further education into the ‘finance side’ of a real estate transaction. A few years later, Jaime decided to try her hand in sales by joining Gary DePersia, as his sales assistant.
After the birth of her Son, Jaime took a five year hiatus from real estate to pursue other avenues of business management in a more corporate environment closer to Manhattan. When it was time for her son to enter kindergarten, Jaime returned to her roots and rejoined Gary’s team. “For me, it was a no-brainer. I can’t imagine a better place to raise Jackson. We enjoy big, open spaces, breathtaking beaches, a beautiful community, a safe environment and a rich family history here. It all adds up to a really wonderful place for any family to enjoy the simple pleasures of down-time and togetherness.” Jaime’s deep understanding of the East End communities, coupled with her innate knowledge of Hamptons real estate, only add to what this highly efficient business manager brings to Gary’s sales team.
Jaime currently resides in East Hampton, where her son, Jackson, attends the 2nd grade and swims on the local swim team. Together, she and Jackson share their home with a small menagerie consisting of a dog, two cats and a rabbit. Jaime enjoys gardening, sewing and creating things with her hands. “Most people would be surprised to find out that I have a massive toolbox stuffed with gadgets and power tools,” says Jaime, who has been known to rebuild and reupholster furniture. “I’m happiest when I’m listening to music and making something out of thin air.”
