Phyllis Schlessel grew up in Brookville, Long Island. She earned her Master's degree in Education while working as a copywriter for Young and Rubican Advertising, and has been a licensed real estate broker since 1968. In the early 1960's Phyllis moved to the East End where she taught school and worked for a land developer in her spare time. Phyllis joined Cook Pony Farm Real Estate (now The Corcoran Group) in 1986, making her the most senior broker at that agency.

Phyllis enjoys tennis, kayaking, snorkeling, cycling and adventure travel. She has been an officer and board member in the Landfall Property Owners Association, where she lives, for five years. Phyllis has earned a reputation for hard work and perserverance, and is proud of the extensive referral network that she has built-up over the years. She recently brokered a high profile summer lease that included negotiating the cost of installing a swimming pool (split between the tenant and landlord) in time for the season!
