A Long Island native, originally from Port Washington, Lois earned her undergraduate and Master's Degrees in Special/Elementary Education/Reading and subsequently taught in the Herricks School District before focusing on raising a family in Huntington, NY. Lois vacationed in the Hamptons throughout her childhood and then summered in Montauk with Peter and their two boys for twenty years, thus developing a deep affinity for the area as well as an in-depth knowledge of the various neighborhoods. Now a full time resident for the last 12 years on the East End, Lois has found that living in Montauk encourages her two sons Peter (Boston College 2007; Founder of Local Knit Greenport and Montauk/Amagansett/Hudson NY Mainstay)and Rob (University of Richmond 2011; Senior Director of Sales /Williamsburg at Massey B6 Real Estate)to visit often, with their families.
