Harmony Merriam moved to Southampton as a child in 1996 with her mother and stepfather, a lifelong resident. Since then she has always been in awe of the area's beautiful scenery and close-knit community. Following her college graduation this past spring, Harmony returned to Southampton to pursue her passions, teaching and real estate. No stranger to the business, Harmony has spent years observing the fulfillment felt by her mom, Meegan Darby, in her career as an Associate Broker and now her partner at Corcoran.
Harmony is equally caring, attentive and dedicated in her approach to serving clients. While she is honing her skills as a real estate agent, she is finding parallels between teaching and real estate every day. Like teaching, real estate allows her to play a role that benefits people in a "real and meaningful way". Similarly, Harmony also gets great fulfillment as an "educator" for her clients. She not only shares her knowledge of her hometown market that she knows and loves; she also guides them through the purchase, sale or rental process, providing relevant information that helps inspire the right decisions.
Harmony also incorporates the interpersonal skills and vast perspective that she developed while pursuing a BA in English and Elementary Education at Gettysburg College. During her time away at school, she made it a point to excel in her own endeavors and in helping others. Harmony served as vice president and philanthropy chair for her sorority Delta Gamma, volunteered her time for the local Special Olympics chapter on a regular basis, and expanded her Spanish language skills working with the various community outreach groups in the area. She also broadened her horizons studying abroad in England and taking the opportunity to travel throughout Europe. This past May she graduated Cum Laude and returned to her beautiful home of Southampton that she had missed so much.
Harmony currently lives in Southampton Village and enjoys all that the East End has to offer. Whether on the beach or on the boat, she is happiest in the company of her family and friends. In addition to her time at work, she's also active in the community at Sacred Heart Church, local schools, and a member of the Spring Fling Committee for the Parrish Art Museum.
