Richard Kudlak

Richard has been a consistent Top Producer at Douglas Elliman since joining the company in 2007. A winner of the Chairman's Circle Gold Award for 2014 put Richard among the top 2% of almost 4,000 Douglas Elliman agents on Long Island and the Hamptons. Richard was able to accomplish that by providing sound advice for his seller, buyers and investors; that included advising his clients on correctly pricing their home to set it apart from the rest and to make his buyers aware of the opportunities available in the current market.

Before becoming a real estate agent, Richard worked for 17 years as a Partner and Senior Vice-President of Chicago Research & Trading Group, a privately held options trading company making markets on Exchanges world-wide. When his company of 850 employees was purchased by Nations Bank in 1993, Richard moved on to become the co-owner of a Professional Roller Hockey team with his long-time friend, Mark Messier. There was nothing sweeter than drinking Dom Perignon from the Stanley Cup Trophy the night the NY Rangers won in 1994.

Nothing means more to Richard than family; his daughter graduated from Cornell in May of 2014, his son in 2015. Richard's wife teaches in the Sag Harbor Elementary School in Sag Harbor, where the family resides. Richard enjoys giving back to the community; he served for many years as the President of the Board of Y.A.R.D. - Youth Advocacy and Resource Development, which runs an after school program for local children as well as a very successful summer beach program for the children that is extremely popular with both local families as well as summer visitors.
